I have a ceiling lamp to be hardwired. I just realized it is 230 volts (european). Can I install it in NYC?

I bought this off the internet - it's a castiglioni flos fuscia 1 ceiling pendant. Needs to be hardwired. I don't want to start a fire or anything...I will call an electrician but I want to know first whether I can even use it here in America. Thanks!!!
