Lost my iphone... should i get a new one or wait till the new model comes out mid june?

Hey everyone. I lost my iphone and I'm planning on getting a new one asap. Problem is, the stores are selling out and so is the website. Rumor has it, the new model is coming within the next few weeks and apple is trying to clear the old model off its shelves. Should I try to go without a phone in anticipation of the new one or just try to search for the current model at local stores? Does anyone know any solid information on the new model besides the fact that it has faster internet?
