What are "TheGreatHatsby" Aim bots?

i learned that the sn's contain the word salmon in it, and the one that IMd me was FemaleSalmon . then i got research about TheGreatHatsby chat bots because the other person told me to and it said that it IMs people that just updated their livejournal. it IMd me although i dont have a livejournal. is there some reason for this?
