The top 2% make their money off the work of the other 98%. They also get bonuses for exploiting the other 98% (esp those at the bottom), such as laying off a few thousand minimum wage workers in order to keep PROFIT in the millions/billions. In turn, those profits go into items like corporate jets (can't tax it, it's a business expense), as opposed to going into the hands of workers, who will spend the money trying to survive.
