For how long would $3,700 CAD last you excluding rent in Montreal?

I'm looking into moving to montreal for a year or two, trying to establish contacts as a musician. I would be living as cheap as I could. I was thinking a 3 or 4 months? I'm not sure about the price of goods in the region! Thanks
