Can I use a 8 1/4 rear end on my 1966 Plymouth Barracuda?

My rear-end is about shot and I'd like to replace it with a better rear-end (it has the 7 1/4 in it now). I haven't been able to find an affordable 8 3/4 rear end. I want to stay with the small bolt pattern too. My car has a 273 v-8, 409 automatic
